Converse Patent Number Pucks
(1967- 1968)
In 1967, the NHL doubled its size adding six new teams. It also marked the introduction of colored team logos on the front. The expansion teams all had full color logos while the Original Six teams hung on to their older style front logos for one more season. The first season of expansion marked the last season of the Art Ross Patent. This would be the last series of pucks with the famed Patent Number on the reverse. At the bottom is a practice puck from this era.
