WINDSOR BULLDOGS

(1953 - 1964)

Windsor entered the OHA Senior 'A' in 1953. Along with local rival the Chatham Maroons, they formed the backbone of the league. By 1957, the league had dropped to just 3 teams and they were compelled to merge with Senior leagues in Northern and Eastern Ontario. In 1960, the league merged with a Senior 'B' league to continue to cling to life. While the league struggled the Bulldogs won the Allan Cup in 1963. At the end of the season, the league once again team up with another lesser league to stay alive. However, this time, the Windsor Bulldogs, along with Chatham, left the league to john the IHL. The team ceased operations after one season in the 'I'.
