WINDSOR ROYALS
(1970 - 1986)
The Windsor Royals were a charter member of the Great Lakes Junior 'C' Hockey League in 1970. The league was formed primarily out of the old Border Cities Junior 'B' league with the Royals being the only actual new team. The Royals were the top team in town for only one season as the new Windsor Spitfires of the Tier II Junior 'A' league were created in 1971. The Royals left the Junior 'C' league to join the Western Ontario Junior 'B' league in 1974. They were renamed the Bulldogs in 1986 and are still a part of the league as the Tecumseh Bulldogs.
