HERSHEY BEARS

(1938 - Present)

 

The Hershey Bears left the Eastern League to join the AHL in 1938. They've remained in the league ever since and are the oldest team in hockey outside of the 'Original Six' of the NHL. The name has been shorted to B'ars on occasion as a tie to Hershey chocolate bar.
