The non-waxed skate laces have a double blue stripe and a molded tip. The molded tip is an important feature. There is no aglet (thin plastic cover on the end of the lace) to break or clip off ultimately resulting in the end of the lace becoming frayed. The ends of these laces are molded into shape making them long lasting.

Note: For players that prefer a looser, more flexible fit, non waxed laces are a good choice. Tension will be more uniform and the boot will have some give to it. For a tighter or more customized fit, waxed laces are a better choice. The wax in the laces will grip your skate boot eyelets and will have very little give to it. For younger players starting to tie their own skates, a waxed lace is often the better choice.
